Privacy

This page is short, and it tries to be exact rather than reassuring. If a privacy policy needs several thousand words, that is usually a description of what is being taken rather than a statement of what is not.

Who we are

This site and the apps are published by dymn.io LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States, with its principal office at 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801. That company is the data controller for anything described below. The people who build the software work from all around the world.

The apps and this website are not the same thing

They make different promises, so they are described separately. The promise about the apps is the strong one, and it is the one that matters: an app you install on your phone should not be reporting on you. A marketing website that counts how many people read a page is a different question, and pretending otherwise would make everything else here harder to believe.

This website

dymn.io measures visits. A third party measurement service records which pages are read, how long for, and roughly which country a visit came from, so that we know whether anyone is finding the site. It is used for that and for nothing else.

What it does not do: it is not connected to any advertising product, nothing measured here is sold or shared with anyone, and none of it is joined to anything you do inside a dymn app, because the apps send us nothing to join it to.

Typefaces are served from this site rather than from a font network, so reading a page here does not announce your visit to a type foundry as well.

The company that hosts these files keeps standard web server logs, which include the address your request came from. That is a property of how the internet delivers a page rather than a choice dymn made.

If you send mail to hello@dymn.io, that mail sits in a mailbox until it is answered, and it is used for nothing else.

The apps

Each dymn app publishes its own privacy statement, because each one is a separate piece of software and a shared policy would be a way of hiding the differences. The rule they all share is the one on the home page: nothing is collected. There is no account, no analytics identifier and no advertising identifier, and where an app syncs it does so through your own iCloud or Google Drive, which means the data never reaches dymn because there is nowhere for it to arrive.

There are four so far. All I Need's statement lives at allineed.app/privacy, swach's at swach.app/privacy, Worlds Apart's at worldsapart.app/privacy, and Sandhour's at sandhour.app/privacy.

What we would have to tell you

If any of the above ever changes, this page changes with it, with the date at the top updated and the previous position described rather than quietly replaced. A privacy statement you can only trust while nobody is checking is not worth publishing.

Getting in touch

Questions, corrections, or a request to see whatever we hold about you, which should be nothing: hello@dymn.io.
